Pecan Pie With Whipped Cream
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (At Room Temperature)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Pecan halves||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|9 inch unbaked pastry shell||1|
|Sweetened whipped cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1. Preheat oven to 350°F before baking.
2. Take a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar to form a creamy, rich mixture. Blend in salt and corn syrup. Beat in eggs, one each, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add pecans and stir well.
3. Transfer to a pie shell and allow to bake 50 minutes or a pie teaser is clean when removed.
4. Serve cooled with whipped cream.
