This banbury apple pie is one of the most delicious and well-loved desserts for many. Quick and very easy to make, sample this pie today!
Ingredients
  Sugar 3 Ounce
  Short crust pastry 1
  Candied peel 2 Ounce
  Currants 4 Ounce
  Butter 3 Ounce
  Milk 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Ground ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Cooking apple 5
Directions

Peel and slice the apples.
Place a layer in a greased pie dish, then the chopped peel, spices and currants.
Pour a little melted butter on top.
Place another layer of apple and chopped peel over it.
Melt some sugar in 'A-pint boiling water and pour over apple.
Cover with short pastry and bake for 30 minutes in a moderate oven.
Glaze with a little sugar and milk.
