|Gooseberries||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine gooseberries, 1 cup sugar and water and cook until berries are tender.
Sift remain- ing sugar, flour, salt and spices together.
Stir into cooked mixture and cool.
Line a pie- plate with pastry.
Pour in filling and dot with the tblspn, butter.
Cover with top crust.
Seal well and prick.
Bake at 450° F for 10 mins.
Reduce heat to 350° Fai.i bake for 25 mins.
