Crispy Apple Pie
|Oats||4 Ounce (breakfast oats)|
|Sugar||2 Ounce (very dark quality)|
|Powdered cloves||1 Pinch|
|Sweetened apple puree||1 Pint|
Melt the butter and mix with oats and brown sugar.
Spread over a baking sheet and toast in a moderate oven for 10 minutes, stirring with a fork a few times during cooking.
Allow to cool.
Grease a shallow oven dish, and place the jam at the bottom; then add the apple puree.
Crumb the topping with a fork and sprinkle over the apple.
Bake in a slow oven for 25 minutes.
