Glazed Strawberry Or Raspberry Pie

Ingredients
  Fresh strawberries/Raspberries 1 Quart
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  9 inch baked pastry shell 1
Directions

Pick smaller berries out of box (about 1/4 of total) and crush them.
Place in a 4 cup (1 L) microproof measure with water and cook 4 minutes on HIGH, or to boil, stirring once.
Sieve mixture.
In same measure mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Gradually stir in hot puree.
Cook on HIGH 3 minutes until clear and thickened.
Cool.
Set remaining berries in prepared pie shell in single layer, hulled side down.
Pour glaze over.
Chill at least two hours.
Serve with whipped cream.
