Angel Food Pie
|Boiling water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||3 Fluid Ounce (3 Heaping Tablespoon)|
|Egg whites||3 Large (Or 4 Small)|
|Almond extract||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||1 Teaspoon|
Dissolve cornstarch in the 1/4 c.cold water; add to boiling water and sugar mixture.
Boil until clear; add pinch of salt.
Remove from fire and add flavoring.
Beat egg whites, add powered sugar.
Fold the cooled cooked mixture into stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour filling into either a baked pastry or a graham cracker crust - sprinkle coconut on top and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
