Old Fashioned Chicken Pie

Ingredients
  Chicken 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Chicken broth 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onion 1 Tablespoon, minced
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Diced cooked chicken 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Hard boiled eggs 3 , sliced
  Milk 1 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven at 425 degrees

MAKING
2) In a saucepan, melt the fat over low heat and gradually add 1/2 cup of flour heating it until it turns bubbly
3) To this, add the broth and cream and cook until it’s thick
4) When the sauce is thickening, add ginger, onion, salt and pepper
5) In a 2-quart shallow casserole, arrange chicken and eggs and pour the sauce over
6) On a floured surface, combine the remaining flour and milk and roll it out thin
7) Use this to create a cover over the casserole and make slits in the center
8) Cover the entire casserole with the dough and brush the top with milk
9) Bake the casserole for about 25 to 30 minutes in 425 degrees
10) To this, you can also add cooked carrots, potatoes, mushrooms and peas

SERVING
11) Serve hot after removing from the oven
