Slim Spaghetti Pie

Ingredients
  Vermicelli 4 Ounce
  Parmesan cheese 3 Tablespoon, grated
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Ground chuck 3⁄4 Pound
  Onion 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), chopped
  Green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
  Canned stewed tomatoes 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
  Fresh oregano/3/4 teaspoon dried whole oregano 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic/1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Low fat cottage cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Part skim mozzarella cheese 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Fresh parsley 2 Teaspoon, chopped
Directions

Cook vermicelli according to package directions, omitting salt; drain.
In a large bowl add Parmesan cheese to hot vermicelli; stir until well mixed.
Add egg; mix well.
Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with vegetable cooking spray.
Into the prepared pie plate spoon vermicelli; press over bottom and side, forming pie shell.
Microwave, uncovered, on High for 2 minutes or until set.
Set aside.
In a shallow 2-quart casserole crumble ground beef; stir in onion and green pepper.
Cover with heavy duty plastic wrap.
Microwave on High for 5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
Into a colander place ground beef mixture; drain.
Pat dry with paper towels.
Wipe the casserole with the paper towels.
In the casserole combine drained ground beef mixture, tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano and garlic; mix well.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave on High for 3 1/2 minutes, stirring once.
Layer cottage cheese and ground beef sauce in prepared pie plate.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave on High for 6 minutes.
Uncover.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Microwave on High for 30 seconds or until cheese begins to melt.
Sprinkle with parsley.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
