Green Mountain Deep Dish Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Corn flakes 1 Ounce, crushed
  Nonfat dry milk 8 Teaspoon (2 Tablespoons Plus 2 Teaspoons)
  Artificial sweetener 1 Gram (To Equal 2 Teaspoons Sugar)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Dash
  Margarine 1 Teaspoon, melted
  Apple 1 Medium, pared, cored, and sliced
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

In medium bowl combine first 8 ingredients in order given.
Press half of the cereal mixture in the bottom of a 2-cup casserole.
Set aside remaining mixture.
In small saucepan combine apple and water.
Cook until tender.
Remove apple slices from saucepan with a slotted spoon and reserve 3 tablespoons liquid.
Layer apples in baking dish.
Top with remaining crumbs and sprinkle with reserved liquid.
Bake at 325°F.
for 20 minutes.
Serve warm or chilled.
