Potato Topped Pork Pie

Ingredients
  Cut up pork roast 3 Cup (48 tbs) (leftover)
  Tart apples 2 , peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  Brown sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pork gravy 1 Cup (16 tbs) (leftover)
  Mashed sweet potatoes 3 Cup (48 tbs) (hot)
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Light cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Finely chopped walnut meats 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

In a greased 8-inch square baking pan, alternate layers of the meat, sliced apples, and a mixture of the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Pour over the gravy.
Beat together until blended the mashed potatoes, butter, cream, salt, and pepper; pile over the meat mixture, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle with nut meats.
Bake, uncovered, in a moderate oven (350°) for 45 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
