Spicy Pizza Pie
|Green pepper||1 Medium, cut into 2 x 1/4-in. strips|
|Chorizo sausage||1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1/2-in. slices|
|Pepperoni||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), sliced|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano leaves||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Sliced pitted black olives||2 Tablespoon|
|Shredded mozzarella cheese||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Prepare pastry shell.
Place green pepper in small bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at High 30 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
In 1-qt casserole combine chorizo sausage and pepperoni.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave at High 3 to 5 minutes, or until chorizo is firm, stirring 1 or 2 times.
Drain and set aside.
In 4-cup measure or bowl mix tomato sauce, mushrooms and seasonings.
Microwave at High 5 to 8 minutes, or until thickened, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Stir sausage, pepperoni, green pepper and olives into sauce.
Pour into pie shell.
Sprinkle with mozzarella and Cheddar cheese.
Wrap, label and freeze no longer than 2 months.
To serve, unwrap and cover pie with wax paper.
Microwave at High 3 minutes.
Rotate 1/2 turn.
Reduce power to 50% (Medium).
Microwave 21 to 28 minutes, or until heated in center, rotating 4 or 5 times.
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
