Boneless Lean Pork And Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Boneless lean pork 1 Pound, cut into small pieces
  Cooking apples 2 , peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  Onions 2 , sliced
  Potatoes 6 Medium, thinly sliced
  Chopped sage 1 Teaspoon
  Lard 2 Tablespoon
  Stock 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortcrust pastry/1 1/2 cups 375 milliliter mashed potatoes 1
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Season the pork well with salt and pepper.
Layer the pork with the apples, onions and potatoes in a deep, greased pie dish, sprinkling sage and seasoning over.
Dot with lard, pour in the stock, and cover with foil or wax paper.
Bake for one and a half hours at 325° F. [170° C.].
Cool and cover with pastry or mashed potatoes.
Bake about 30 minutes at 425° F. [220° C.].
