Toffee Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Readymade pie crust 15 Ounce (1 Package)
  Flour 1 Teaspoon
For filling
  Apples 6 Medium, peeled, thinly sliced to make 5 cups
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Nutmeg 1 Dash
For topping
  All purpose flour/Unbleached flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped pecans 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Toffee candy bar 1 1⁄4 Ounce, chopped
Directions

FOR THE PIE CRUST

Prepare pie crust according to package directions for filled one-crust pie using 9-inch pie pan.
(Refrigerate remaining crust for later use.) Heat oven to 375°F.

FOR THE PIE FILLING
In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients; blend well.
Spoon into pie crust-lined pan.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
In small bowl, combine flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon; blend well.
With fork or pastry blender, cut in 3 tablespoons butter until mixture is crumbly.
Stir in pecans and 1 chopped candy bar.
Sprinkle topping mixture evenly over apples.
Bake at 375°F. for 45 to 55 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is deep golden brown.
(A small amount of filling may bubble out of pan.
To protect oven, place foil or cookie sheet on lowest oven rack during baking.) Serve warm or cool.
