Sausalito Chocolate Mud Pie
|Chocolate sandwich cookies||25|
|Finely chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Coffee ice cream||1⁄2 Gallon|
|Creme de cacao||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Hot fudge sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Crust Crush cookies to make 2 cups crumbs.
Mix in nuts.
Cut in butter.
(Food processor is best for making crust.) With back of large spoon, press crumbs into 9-inch square pan or pie pan.
Filling Place slightly soft ice cream in large bowl.
Stir liqueur into ice cream, mixing lightly.
Fill crust with ice cream.
Smooth top with metal spatula.
Freeze until firm.
Prepare Hot Fudge Sauce using 1/2 cup milk.
Cool sauce and then pour over ice cream.
Cover and freeze until ready to serve.
Thaw slightly before cutting.
