Shoo Fly Pie & Pie Crust

Ingredients
  Oil 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cold water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dark karo syrup 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

Pie Crust: Mix oil and cold water together and beat until white.
Pour over the flour and mix well.
Shoo-fly pie: Combine flour, shortening and brown sugar until it forms a crumb mix.
Dissolve baking soda in boiling water.
Add Karo syrup and 1/2 of crumb mix.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and top with other half of crumbs.
Bake at 375° for 35 min.
