|Chopped dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped dried peaches||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped dried apricots||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated lemon rind||2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped walnuts/Mixture of chopped nuts and chopped sunflower seeds||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Safflower oil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Combine applesauce, fruit, honey, and lemon rind in a saucepan.
Simmer, uncovered, over low heat, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
It should be very thick.
Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust of your choice.
Sprinkle nuts over fruit.
Bake at 375° 30 minutes, or until crust is baked and top is lightly browned.
