Key Lime Pie
|Condensed milk||1 Can (10 oz)|
|Eggs||4 , separated|
|Lime juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Baked pie shell||1|
Combine milk, egg yolks, and lime juice.
Beat 1 egg white until stiff and fold into mixture.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat 3 egg whites until stiff and gradually add the sugar and cream of tartar.
Spoon on top of lime mixture.
Bake until egg whites are brown.
