Cheese Crust For Deep Dish Apple Pie
|Yellow cheese||1⁄4 Pound, grated|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Lard/1/4 cup lard with 1/4 cup butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Dash|
|Iced water||7 Tablespoon|
Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening until mealy.
Mix in the cheese lightly.
Add the water gradually, making a stiff dough.
Roll out on floured board, place in deep dish or pie pans.
Brush inside crust with vegetable oil, very lightly, and top crust
