Chicken A La Cheese Pie
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chicken gravy mix||19 9⁄20 Ounce (1 Package, Pillsbury)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cooked and cubed chicken||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Chopped chives||1 Teaspoon|
|Shredded cheddar cheese/Shredded swiss cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Pillsbury'S Best)|
|Mashed potato flakes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Pillsbury Hungry Jack)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Combine milk and gravy mix in saucepan.
Add green pepper and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Stir in chicken, chives, salt and pepper.
Spread Crust on bottom and sides of greased 9-inch pie pan.
Spoon chicken filling in center.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 400° for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let cool 10 minutes before cutting in wedges and serving.
Crust: Combine flour, potato flakes, baking powder and salt in small mixer bowl.
Add water, shortening and egg.
Blend at low speed.
Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes
