Crunch Top Apple Pie
|Tart apples||2 1⁄2 Pound, peeled, cored, and sliced (6 Medium Pieces)|
|10-inch unbaked pastry shell||1|
|Graham cracker crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Pound, melted (1/2 Cup)|
|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Arrange apples evenly in pastry shell.
Mix sugar, cracker crumbs, flour, walnuts, and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
Pour butter evenly over topping.
Bake in a 350° oven until apples are tender when pierced, about 1 hour.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Whip cream and offer to spoon over pie.
