Pear Crumble Pie
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated lemon peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|9 inch baked pastry shell||1|
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Pint (1 Cup, Flavored With Sugar And Vanilla)|
Peel, halve, core, and slice pears, and toss them lightly with the 1/2 cup sugar and the lemon peel and juice.
Arrange in unbaked pastry shell.
For the topping combine flour, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and mace; cut in butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle mixture over the pears.
Bake in a hot oven (400°) for 45 minutes, or until the fruit is tender.
