Strawberry Mallow Cream Pie
|8 inch baked pie shell||1|
|Marshmallows||1⁄2 Pound (Large Size)|
|Heavy cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hulled strawberries||1 Quart, washed|
|Heavy cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), whipped|
Early in day: In double boiler, melt marshmallows with 1/2 cup cream.
Meanwhile, into baked pie shell, slice or halve strawberries, reserving a few whole ones to decorate top.
When marshmallows are melted, set double-boiler top in pan of ice water; with spoon, beat mixture until cold; pour over berries in pie shell.
