Banana Caramel Pie
|Baked pie shell||1 (8 Inch)|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), packed|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Heavy cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Early In day: In saucepan, mix cold water with egg yolks; stir in combined sugars, flour, and salt.
Gradually add boiling water, stirring briskly.
Cook, stirring, 3 to 5 min., or until smooth and thick.
Add butter and vanilla; cool 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Refrigerate till serving time.
