Farmhouse Apple Pie

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), cut into pieces
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Apples 4 , peeled, cored and sliced (Such As Golden Delicious, Spy Or Granny Smith)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Finely chopped pecans 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Pastry: In a bowl combine flour, sugar and generous pinch of salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or use your fingertips to make coarse crumbs. Sprinkle with enough water to hold dough together; gather into a ball. Flatten to a 5-inch (12 cm) circle; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
2. On a lightly floured board, roll pastry to a 13-inch (32 cm) circle; transfer to large baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, trim pastry edge to form an even circle.
3. Filling: Starting 2 inches (5 cm) from edge, overlap apple slices in a circle; arrange another overlapping circle of apples in center. In a bowl combine sugar, pecans and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Fold pastry rim over apples to form a 2-inch (5 cm) edge.
