Peach Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients
  Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg whites 4
  Vanilla ice cream 2 Quart
  Sliced peaches 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Fresh Or Frozen, Strawberries Or Raspberries)
Directions

Start heating oven to 275°F.
To make meringue, sift sugar with cream of tartar; beat egg whites until stiff; gradually add sifted sugar and continue beating until glossy.
"Butter" 2 9" pie plates; spread meringue on bottoms and sides of pie plates, swirling it up at edges and keeping it off rims of plates.
Bake 1 hr.
Cool; wrap carefully; freeze.
