Classic Deep Dish Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Tart apples 8 , pared, cored, and thinly sliced to make 6 cups
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Ground cinnamon 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1 Dash
  Pastry mix stick 1
Directions

In large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice.
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add to apples, stirring to coat; pile into buttered 8 x 1 1/2 inch round baking dish.
Cook, covered, at HIGH for 8 to 10 minutes or till apples are tender, stirring twice.
Meanwhile, prepare pastry mix according to package directions.
Roll out on lightly floured surface to 9-inch circle.
Crimp edges and cut with a pastry wheel in 6 even wedges.
Place on paper toweling.
Sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon.
Cook at MEDIUM HIGH (7) for 6 to 8 minutes or till lightly browned, giving toweling a half turn once.
Place pastry wedges atop apple filling.
