Western Apple Pie
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Lemon extract||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Double crust pie pastry||1|
Mix apple slices with sugar and flour.
Sprinkle lemon extract over fruit and mix lightly with a fork to distribute it evenly.
Put apples in pie shell, dot with butter, and put on top crust.
Sprinkle crust with white sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees, 10 minutes, reduce heat and bake at 350 degrees until apples are done.
