Cheese Custard Pie
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, softened|
|Bread slices||6 (Crust Removed)|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Pound|
Butter bread on one side; cut in half to form triangles.
Fit half of bread triangles around the sides of a 9-inch pie pan, arranging them so tips of triangles stick up beyond rim of pan.
Fit remaining bread, buttered side down, into bottom of pan.
Slightly beat egg yolks and milk together; stir in salt, mustard, paprika, Worcestershire, and cheese; pour mixture into bread-lined pan.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 30 minutes.
