Molasses Pecan Pie
|Basic flaky piecrust||1|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened|
|Honey||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Coarsely chopped pecans||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Roll out pastry, and line a 9-inch pie plate with it.
In a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy.
Beat in honey, molasses, and eggs in that order.
Mix in vanilla and then nuts.
Turn into prepared pie shell, and bake on middle shelf of oven for about 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
