Shoo-Fly Pie

Ingredients
  Boiling water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Molasses 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Corn syrup 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sifted flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Put soda in a bowl and dissolve with hot water.
Stir in molasses and corn syrup.
Mix flour, sugar, shortening and salt.
Rub together to make crumbs and sprinkle over the syrup and molasses mixture.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for thirty-five to forty minutes.
