Lemon Strip Pie
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon||1 , juiced and rind grated|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Cold water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lard||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
Cream together the sugar and lard.
Add beaten egg.
Sift flour and baking powder together and add.
Add two tablespoons of milk.
Roll out dough on floured surface and cut into strips one inch wide.
Pour lemon liquid into unbaked pastry shell.
Place strips over liquid but do not cross.
Bake at 350 degrees for thirty to thirty-five minutes.
