Covered Apple Pie
|Apples||3 Cup (48 tbs), diced|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mix apples and sugar.
Place into unbaked pie crust and dot with butter.
Place top crust of strips on pie.
To prevent scorching put a strip of tin foil or damp cotton around edge of pie.
Bake at 450 degrees for thirty minutes.
Reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake for another fifteen minutes.
