Key Lime Pie
|Sweetened condensed milk||14 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Lime juice||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Green food coloring||2 Drop|
|Baked 9 inch pie shell||1|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Mix the condensed milk, egg yolks, lime juice, and food coloring until blended.
Turn mixture into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites until frothy; add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition.
Beat until stiff peaks are formed; spread the meringue over pie filling to edge of pastry.
Set in a 450Â°F oven about 5 minutes, or until meringue is delicately browned.
