Custard Pie

The custard pie is a vanilla flavored pie prepared with a custard filling. Spiced with nutmeg, the custard pie is a baked pie made with a simple plain pastry shell. Homely and delightful, this custard pie makes for a gret family dessert on weekends.
Ingredients
  Eggs 4 , slightly beaten
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs), scalded
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pastry 1⁄2
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 450F degrees
MAKING
2.Combine eggs, salt and sugar; add milk and vanilla slowly.
3.Line pie in pan with pastry, pour in filling and sprinkle with nutmeg.
4.Bake in very hot oven for 10 minutes.
5.Reduce temperature to slow (325° F) and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
SERVING
6.Serve warm
