Amber Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Apple gelatin 3 Ounce (Jello)
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ice cubes 12 Large
  Lemon juice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Diced apples 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baked 9 inch pie shell 1
Directions

Combine Jell-O, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add boiling water; stir until Jell-O is completely dissolved.
Add ice cubes and stir constantly 2 to 3 minutes, or until Jell-O starts to thicken.
Remove unmelted ice.
Add lemon juice and let stand 2 to 3 minutes.
Then add apples.
Stir.
Pour into pie shell.
Chill until set, about 3 hours.
Garnish with prepared Dream Whip or whipped cream, if desired.
