Murbe Teig for Pies
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg yolk||1 , slightly beaten|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
2.Combine flour, salt and sugar.
3.Cut in butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender.
4.Add egg yolk and mix thoroughly.
5.Press into a pie plate or spring-form pan to 1/4 inch thickness.
6.Fill with a fruit filling.
7.Bake in hot oven for 10 minutes, reduce temperature to 350Â°F and bake until fruit is cooked.
