Wet Pickle For Meat
|Boiling water||1 Gallon|
|Moist sugar/Treacle||1 Pound|
|Salt petre||1 Ounce|
1. In a large pan put all ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
2. Skim out the fat from top.
3. Strain the mixture into a large basin or a deep crock. Keep aside until cold.
4. Discard any discoloured parts from meat and clean with a damp cloth.
5. Place meat into liquid and keep covered.
6. Turn meat every day and leave it from 10 to 14 days.
7. Serve as a pickle.
