|Daikon||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|White rice vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Salt||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Peel and wash the daikon and slice very thinly.
Place in a glass or china bowl.
Combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan.
Bring to the boiling point, remove from heat and cool.
Pour over the daikon slices.
Cover the bowl.
Refrigerate for 3 days and drain before serving.
