Icicle Pickles

Ingredients
  Cucumbers 7 Pound
  Lime water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Apple cider vinegar 3 Quart
  Sugar 8 Cup (128 tbs)
  Salt 2 Tablespoon
  Pickling spices 1 1⁄2 Ounce (1/2 Box)
Directions

Slice cucumbers 1/4-inch thick.
Soak in lime water overnight.
Next morning wash in fresh water.
Then soak in ice cold water for 2 hours, use ice.
Drain well on a cloth.
Heat the vinegar, sugar and salt until sugar is dissolved.
Add cucumbers to solution, together with pickling spices tied into a cloth.
Cook slowly for 1 3/4 hours.
Place in hot, sterilized jars.
Seal.
These pickles are delicious.
Crisp and sweet.
Chill before serving.
