Local Crispy Pickle Slices

Ingredients
  Sliced cucumbers 4 Quart (Medium)
  Coarse salt 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Medium)
  Sugar substitute 5 Cup (80 tbs) (To Equal 5 Cups Sugar)
  Turmeric 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Celery seed 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mustard seed 2 Tablespoon
  Cider vinegar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Directions

Do not pare cucumbers; slice thin.
Add salt; cover with cracked ice; mix thoroughly.
Let stand 3 hours.
Drain thoroughly.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over cucumber mixture.
Heat just to a boil.
Seal in hot sterilized jars.
