Sweet Pickle Spears

Ingredients
  Cucumbers 4 Pound (4 Inch Size)
  Sugar 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Vinegar 3 3⁄4 Cup (60 tbs)
  Canning salt 3 Tablespoon
  Celery seed 4 Teaspoon
  Turmeric 4 Teaspoon
  Mustard seed 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Slice ends from cucumbers and cut into spears.
Cover cucumbers with boiling water; let stand 2 hours.
Drain and pack into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch head space.
Bring remaining ingredients to a boil.
Pour hot liquid over cucumbers, leaving /4-inch head space.
Remove air bubbles.
Adjust caps.
Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
