American Chow Chow

A wonderful Native American fav, perfect for chips or anything else, a little spicy but awesome
Ingredients
  Chopped cabbage 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Chopped onion 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped mild red chili peppers/Hot red chili peppers To Taste
  Green tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Dry mustard seed 3 Tablespoon
  Celery seed 2 Tablespoon
  Vinegar 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Ground pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Water 8 Cup (128 tbs)
Directions

Wash and drain vegetables. peel onions. remove seed from peppers. chop and measure all vegetables. dissolve salt in 8C. water, pour over vegetables and let stand for 1 hour. drain (if this is too salty for you you can rinse and drain again) mix vegetables with sugar,celery seed and vinager. simmer about 20minutes bring to a boil. pack into jars still boiling, seal at once.
