Bread N Butter Pickles
|Onions slice||8 Small|
|White sugar||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|White vinegar||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Mustard seed||2 Teaspoon|
|Celery seed||1 Teaspoon|
Add enough ice cubes, so that when they are melted, they will nearly cover the pickles, onion and salt mixture.
Let stand 3 hours.
Drain thoroughly in a collander.
In a large kettle combine ingredients.
Boil for a few minutes.
Add cucumbers and onion mixture, simmer and keep stirring with wooden spoon until they change colour (about 10 minutes).
Pack in sterile jars and seal.
