  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon (Scant)
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Simmer all together until onions are cooked, and sauce is of the desired thickness.
