My Special Ripe Cucumber Pickle
|Ripe cucumbers||8 Large|
|Flour||2 Teaspoon (1 Dessert Spoon)|
|White pepper||4 Teaspoon (2 Dessert Spoon)|
|Vinegar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Remove seeds from cucumbers, do not peel, and slice onions.
Put in brine of 1 cup salt to 2 quarts of water.
Let stand overnight.
In morning make following dressing: Mix, but do not cook.
Put onions and cucumbers in kettle with 4 cups brown sugar and enough vinegar to cover.
Stir in dressing when it begins to boil.
Then boil for 20 minutes.
