|Vinegar||1 1⁄2 Pint|
|White sugar||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Celery seed||1 Tablespoon|
Peel and cut in small pieces.
Sprinkle with coarse salt, and let stand overnight.
Put through food chopper. (Also a couple of red peppers for color, if desired).
Cook in double boiler like salad dressing.
Pour over vegetables; bring to boil, stirring constantly and boil 5 minutes.
Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal airtight.
