Ingredients
  Medium pickling cucumbers 1 Gallon, very thinly sliced
  Onions 8 Large, very thinly sliced
  Green peppers 2 , seeded and cut in very thin strips
  Salt 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Ground turmeric 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Mustard seed 2 Tablespoon
  Celery seed 1 Teaspoon
  Cider vinegar 5 Cup (80 tbs)
Directions

Mix the cucumbers, onions, peppers, and salt and let stand 3 hours.
Drain.
Combine the sugar, spices, and vinegar in a large kettle.
Heat mixture scalding hot, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Add drained vegetables and heat just to boiling.
Seal at once in hot, sterilized jars according to manufacturer's instructions.
