Beef With Green Peppers
|Beef||3⁄4 Pound, sliced|
|Scallion stalk||1 , cut into 1/2 inch sections|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Green peppers||3 , sliced|
|Diced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chicken stock||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||2 Teaspoon, mixed with soy sauce|
|Soy sauce||1 Teaspoon, mixed with cornstarch|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Heat a pan with the oil, salt and pepper and when it is very hot, saute the beef for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the scallion, garlic and green peppers.
Stir once or twice and then add the celery and the chicken stock slowly.
Cover the pan and turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the thickening to the meat, and when the gravy is thick and smooth, turn into a shallow bowl and serve immediately
