Beef And Rice Stuffed Peppers
|Green peppers||4 Large|
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1 Small, minced|
|Cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Celery seed||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Curry powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Soft bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), buttered|
Wash peppers; remove stem ends, seeds, and membranes.
Cook in 1 cup boiling salted water for 5 minutes; drain.
Brown beef and onion, stirring with fork.
Add remaining ingredients except bread crumbs; mix well.
Fill peppers with meat mixture; top with crumbs.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for about 30 minutes.
