|White bread||1 (Several Days Old)|
|Melted butter||1 Tablespoon|
|Cheddar cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finely grated|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Teaspoon|
Using playing card cutters, cut thinly sliced bread into shapes, dip them in melted butter and toss in finely grated cheese and cayenne pepper to coat thoroughly.
Place on a baking sheet in a hot oven (425°F - Gas Mark 6) for about 10 minutes, until a rich golden brown.
Serve hot or cold.
